Atlantic Mackerel is used fresh, frozen, canned, smoked and salted for consumption or used as bait for other fisheries. Mackerel flesh has a high fat content and a rich and distinct flavor which makes it a popular food fish. Being very high in Omega 3 and Omega 6 fatty acids it is beneficial to healthy eating. Mackerel make extensive annual migrations and are normally found in shoal waters of less than 200m. Produced as Whole Round 1x15kg.
